The Opportunity Pathways Social Impact Investment Program, running until 30 June 2026, is a trial voluntary program that assists people living in social housing to gain, retain or increase education and employment and encourage and support the move to independent housing options, where appropriate. The $4.5 million contribution and partnership with the NSW Government will trial a new model to help achieve housing independence for social housing tenants and their household members. The Albanese Labor Government will partner with the NSW Minns Government on a targeted approach to connect people receiving social housing assistance with education, training, and work opportunities.
